Werner syndrome ATP-dependent helicase (WRN) is essential for the formation of DNA replication focal centers and associates with foci elements generating binding sites for RPA. Defects in WRN are a cause of Werner syndrome, a multiple age-related disorders, including atherosclerosis, cancer, diabetes and osteoporosis.The synthetic peptide used to raise the antibody Cat. No. 200165 is selected from a sequence within the N-term region of human WRN. For blocking experiments, a 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended.
