SUFU is a negative regulator in the hedgehog signaling pathway that down-regulates GLI1-mediated transactivation of target genes. Defects in SUFU are a cause of medulloblastoma, a malignant and invasive embryonal tumor of the cerebellum.The synthetic peptide used to raise the antibody Cat. No. 200139 is selected from a sequence within the C-term region of human SUFU. For blocking experiments, a 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended.
