CYLD is a negative regulator of TRAF2 and NF-kappa B signaling pathway. CYLD has a deubiquitinating activity that is directed towards non-Lys48-linked polyubiquitin chains. Defects in CYLD are the cause of familial cylindromatosis, a highly tumor type-specific disorder.The synthetic peptide used to raise the antibody Cat. No. 200136 is selected from a sequence within the N-term region of human CYLD. For blocking experiments, a 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended.
