SUMO1 is an ubiquitin-like protein which can be covalently attached to target lysines as a monomer. SUMO1 plays a role in a number of cellular processes such as nuclear transport, DNA replication and repair, mitosis and signal transduction.The synthetic peptide used to raise the antibody Cat. No. 200129 is selected from a sequence within the C-term region of human SUMO1. For blocking experiments, a 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended.
