SLUG is a transcriptional repressor involved in the generation and migration of neural crest cells. Defects in SLUG are the cause of neural tube defects and defective embryonic neural crest.The synthetic peptide used to raise the antibody Cat. No. 200124 is selected from a sequence within the N-term region of human SLUG. For blocking experiments, a 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended.
