背景描述：
Trimethoprim belongs to the class of chemotherapeutic agent known as dihydrofolate reductase inhibitors. Its Formula is C14H18N4O3 and Molecular mass of 290.32 g/mol. It is a bacteriostatic antibiotic that treats urinary tract infections. It may also be used to treat and prevent Pneumocystis jiroveci pneumonia. Trimethoprim binds to dihydrofolate reductase and inhibits the reduction of dihydrofolic acid (DHF) to tetrahydrofolic acid (THF). THF is an essential precursor in the thymidine synthesis pathway and interference with this pathway inhibits bacterial DNA synthesis. Trimethoprim's affinity for bacterial dihydrofolate reductase is several thousand times greater than its affinity for human dihydrofolate reductase. Trimethoprim can cause thrombocytopenia (low levels of platelets) by lowering folic acid levels; this may also cause megaloblastic anemia. The drug competes with creatinine. Because of resistance to trimethoprim, it is more effective when combined with another antibiotic, sulfamethoxazole (Azo-Gantanol). Trimethoprim was first approved by the FDA in combination with sulfamethoxazole (for example, Bactrim, Septra) in 1973. It was approved as a stand-alone drug in 1980.

使用步骤：
Step 1. Pipet 50ul each standards and samples containing trimethoprim (diluted as required). Pipet 100ul antibody-enzyme conjugate to the wells and incubate it for 60min at 25 ℃.Aspirate and wash the plate 3 times.
Step 2. Add 100 ul of TMB substrate solution to all wells, mix gently, and incubate at 25 ℃ for 15 min in the dark for coloration.
Step 3. Pipet 100 ul of stop solution into each well and mix gently (blue color turns yellow). Measure OD at A450 nm. Calculate concentration of Trimethoprim in each sample using the Trimethoprim Standard curve.
